Asics GEL-Phoenix 8 Supportive Running Shoes The Asics GEL-Pheonix 8 Supportive Running Shoes are ideal for runners who over-pronate – or roll their feet inwards – as they run. The SpEVA 55 Midsole improves bounce back characteristics, whilst rear and forefoot Gel cushioning provides shock absorption, helping to reduce muscle fatigue on long runs. With an updated look, the Gel-Phoenix 8 will keep you looking sleek as well as providing you with the necessary support to push yourself further in your training. The upper is stitched around a canvas and attached directly to the midsole which helps to provide better support underfoot during training. A removable sockliner keeps the foot snug, but gives the added option of being able to remove when needed. The sockliner also has moisture wicking properties, and as such it works in tandem with the mesh upper to help to maintain a comfortable, dry climate within the shoe. Additional 3M Reflective elements help to keep you visible and safe during your low-light training. Speva 55® Midsole The Speva 55® Midsole is an integral working part of this shoe. It provides durability to the midsole, as well as actively reducing muscle fatigue by providing bounce to the shoe, and therefore minimising the energy lost in the toe off phase of the gait cycle. The rear and forefoot GEL® cushioning systems also help to attenuate shock during the gait cycle, allowing movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle. This in turn reduces stress on the wearer’s leg joints, which gives the shoes a much more comfortable ride. The Dynamic DuoMax® Support System also features in this shoe, and actively combats overpronation to help to keep your foot neutral throughout the gai
